Reproduction of U.S. M1 Ammunition Carrying Bag with Strap. This 1943 model is a general purpose ammo bag made from Khaki canvas and was used for carrying all sorts of ammo. From boxed ammo for machine , clips, carbine magazines and mostly hand and rifle grenades during WWII. This version of the M1 ammo bag DOES include a carrying strap. This multi-purpose canvas bag was used for carrying extra ammunition (boxed or in clips), grenades or other needed equipment. It could be hung from the shoulder, strapped to the body or tied to the leg.
