Each set consists of 6 red, 6 blue and one white target boccia ball. Hardness: medium. All balls are World Boccia/BISFed Licensed. Weight and size of the boccia balls live up to international competition standards. Paralympic boccia is played with balls that comply with the requirements of the International Boccia Sports Federation (BISFed /World Boccia) regarding weight, measure and rolling abilities. A boccia balls weight: 275 grams plus/minus 12 grams (9.7003395361 oz +/- 0.4232875434 oz), circumference 270 mm plus/minus 8 mm (10 5/8 inch +/- 5/16 inch). The boccia balls also have to pass the BISFed rolling test. All the balls in this set live up to these requirements and are World Boccia / BISFed Licensed. The hardness on the balls is medium. The boccia set is delivered in a simple bag including a referee paddle and a set of boccia rules (in English and Spanish). The Referee paddle has 1 red side and 1 blue side. Made of EVA-foam. The boccia referee uses the paddle to show which team should throw the next ball red or blue team. The referee paddle can also be used for knee-protection when the referee is kneeling down to measure the distance between the balls. This is an extremely good boccia set for beginners and other more competent boccia players. Boccia is mainly played indoors.
